Three adults and two children drowned whenfloodwaters swept away their car in Illinois on Saturday night, officials and local media.
WJBD radio station in Salem, Illinois, reportedon Sunday the family was driving near the village of Patoka, 85 miles east of St. Louis, Missouri, when the car has been cleared byfloodwaters.
WJBD said an emergency crew makes contact with the people in the car, but the watersdragged them and they were later found deadin the vehicle.
Operator with the Marion County Sheriff's Office confirmed the death of five but providedthere is additional information.
